Olympian mullein



A very dramatic plant native to the ancient Mt. Olympus of Turkey. This huge “Mullein” may be the most magnificent of the genus. To 8-10’ tall, it bears an enormous candelabra of golden yellow flowering spikes, easily 3’ wide. The stems begin to branch out near the base above large, gray-felted, green foliage. Flowers from from July through September. Likes any alkaline soil that is well drained, and is deer and snail proof. Self seeds well, so pull up any unwanted babies.

Attractants all sorts of pollinators.

Likes any alkaline well drained soil in full sun.
