GROWING FOR 2022 READY END OF MAY
Generally I don’t like annuals…but Cosmos is my exception, and truly loved by pollinators. They have Daisy-like flowers are easy-to-grow and versatile annuals. They can be used to plug gaps in borders, grown as a feature in their own right or as part of a container display. The flowers attract a variety of bees, butterflies and hoverflies, and also make a good cut flower.
This is a very fine and well known plant with fern-like foliage and large, colourful flowers in various shades of crimson, pink and white, excellent for cutting, borne from late June well into autumn.
Every garden should have some Cosmos bipinnatus – so easy to grow, colourful and with a very long flowering season.
