Description

This is one of the few plants that thrives in poor dry soil in shade, making it the perfect choice for growing under big trees and other difficult areas. Spreading by underground runners it eventually forms a low weed smothering carpet.

Upright spikes of lime green flowers are produced from spring to early summer, which contrast with the dark glossy foliage. It makes a good year-round evergreen foil for other shade loving plants.

Likes any well-drained soil in partial to full shade. Cut back faded flower in autumn and remove unwanted seedlings each spring if you want to control spread.

Always wear gloves when working with euphorbias. The milky sap is a skin irritant.
