A stunning semi-evergreen perennial with a profusion of beautiful, pale blue saucer-shaped flowers each dotted with a golden eye held above narrow grey-green leaves. The perennial flax is heat tolerant and drought tolerant, good for hot, dry locations. Great in rock gardens, border fronts, meadows, cottage gardens or informal plantings. Also a colourful addition to an herb garden. Stunning blue flowers are borne mind summer.
Flax cooked seeds can be eaten and have a nutty taste.
Likes any very well drained soil in full sun.
