GROWING FOR 2022
Wild Lupine blooms profusely in spikes with pea-like blue & purple flowers from spring to summer. Palm-shaped leaves surround the plant as an added attraction, making it a popular choice for gardens with dry, sandy soils. Lupine requires well-drained soils but will adapt to most dry soil types; sand. loam, and gravel.
Wild lupin is a cool season plant, which dies down in the heat of summer. It is a long-lived nitrogen fixing plant that grows from a taproot which penetrates the soil to a great depth. Excellent for the perennial border, or any naturalized area as long as their soil is sandy.
Likes any well-drained soil in full sun or dappled shade.
