Description
This evergreen shrub can be a beast of a plant so make sure you have the room. It has large glossy, conspicuously veined, oblong dark green leaves with domed clusters of small cream flowers in late spring, followed by ovoid red fruit ripening to black in the autumn. It is a useful plant as it will quite happily grow anywhere even in deep shade and is drought resistant.
Likes any well drained soil in full sun, partial shade or full shade.
