Description

A superb perennial with large bristly flowers on strong stems, in a rich metallic blue shade. A versatile plant, fitting well into the sunny border. Tolerant of hot, dry sites once established.

Grow in fairly dry, well-drained soil that is poor to moderately fertile. Full sun is essential as is protection from winter wet.

Ideal for gravel gardens, coastal gardens, wildlife gardens and cottage gardens, great as a dried flower.

Flowers are attractive to butterflies.
