Vigorous, spreading deciduous shrub/small tree with narrowly ovate leaves turning pink or red in autumn. Panicles of small greenish-white flowers are borne in spring followed by red fruits which split to reveal orange seeds in autumn.
Likes any moist but well drained soil in full sun/partial shade.
Ideal for cottage/informal gardens, coastal situations, wildlife areas and hedges or screens.
