Plants forms a sturdy clump of leathery, evergreen leaves. Large cup-shaped white or soft-pink flushed flowers appear between Christmas and Easter, depending on the climate.
Can be slow to establish, but worth it. Will self sow where happy, and the seedlings can be moved to new locations while still small.
I cut all the old leaves off when flowering commences, then you can appreciate the beautiful flowers more, leaving light for the new fresh foliage to develop. The old leaves can start to look a bit leathery and sad if you don’t! (Similar to me really)!
Likes any moist but well drained soil in full or partial shade.
