An erect, slender perennial with linear, grass-like leaves are clumped toward the base of the plant, but extend up the stem to the showy flower cluster. Tall spikes of rose-purple (sometimes white) flowers are produced from late summer to early autumn.
Likes any well drained soil in full sun.
Attractive to pollinators.
