Perovskia atriplicifolia ‘Blue Steel’

Russian Sage ‘Blue Steel’

Description

Sold in 1 ltr Garden Ready Pot

A stunning perennial/sub-shrub with upright silver stems covered in a mist of lavender-blue flowers in late summer. The perfect plant to intermingle textures in flower borders, it is tough as old boots (or steel) and adds cool colour through the late summer. A favorite of butterflies and bees, avoided by deer, and able to withstand the sweltering temperatures of summer (if we get them).

Grow in full sun in any free draining soil.  Prune if required in early spring, or when new growth starts to appear.

This has a more controllable habit than the old favourite ‘Blue Spires’.
