Description
This lovely little plant blooms in spring with deep plum-purple flowers above the evergreen foliage. Ideal for filling in tight spaces where little else grows. It is ideal for establishing weed-controlling ground cover in nearly any location, from sunny banks to dark, shady corners. .
Likes any moist, well drained soil. Periwinkle is a particularly tough plant, and will thrive in any garden position, provided that the soil isn’t dry.
Great for erosion control, works well in woodland gardens and in containers.
Like other all vinca this variety may have some brown leaves during winter and periodically throughout the year as it sheds old growth.
Attractive to pollinators.
